Representing my loved one currently battling cancer.

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I knew this fact, but I didn't know it personally. Cancer is something that can pull apart the hopes and dreams of not only the individuals that are diagnosed, but the people around them. For a while, I have been donating and fundraising for cancer, participating in Relay for Life for the last four years and fundraising for the event.

Cancer is a battle no one deserves to fight, but I wish for everyone to win. By donating my hair, I hope to restore self-confidence in people currently battling or who have battled cancer. A head of hair is nothing compared to brightening up someone's world.

My auntie recently was diagnosed, and I was suddenly put in a personal position. The urge to support all people affected by cancer had never been stronger. My aunt battles through everyday, with so much love and optimism, it's only fair I fight with her.

I plan to cut 20-25cm of my hair, if I exceed the $200 goal, I'll dye my remaining hair the colour most requested.

Thank you!
