I’m rocking the chop to put a stop to cancer!

Did you know that 1 in 2 Queenslanders will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?

I’m taking part in Cancer Council’s Ponytail Project campaign to raise funds that will support Queenslanders impacted by cancer.

This, I’ll be growing my hair as long as possible, alongside peers all across Queensland, before I chop off 20cm, donating the length for wigs. Every ponytail chopped will make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer #chopforchange.

For every $50 over my goal I will be cutting off an extra 1cm of my hair.

I know first hand how cancer can utterly wound a family. But the support from fundraising like this can make all the difference during treatment. Providing for transport, accommodation and much needed support services.

All funds raised will go towards cancer research, prevention programs and support services. This means everything from transport to get cancer patients to and from their medical appointments, to assisting childcare facilities to keep kids safe from the sun.
